AHRI has an exciting opportunity for a Program Engineer with our Certification Team. As a key member of this team, your primary responsibility will be managing assigned HVACR industry working groups and associated certification programs.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $97,500

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead product testing with certification participants, regional AHRI teams, and third-party laboratories to ensure accurate and timely completion of market surveillance testing.
  • Convene Compliance Committee meetings to review annual program performance, maintain and update governing documents, and make recommendations for program changes or new programs.
  • Lead working group meetings with member companies to complete projects and tasks.
  • Represent AHRI in technical conferences/workshops, meetings, and other venues, including preparing technical documents supporting company positions.
  • Work with technical working groups to develop performance rating standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a nationally accredited four-year college or university in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering emphasis preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience (preferably in the HVACR industry).
  • Working understanding of product performance testing, including associated standards and methods of test.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and execute project deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • LEED, PE, or EIT desired but not required.
