Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling customer transactions and processing donations.
  • Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays, and organization of merchandise to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Provide professional telephone service, answering customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Sort and price merchandise according to quality and pricing guidelines, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Transfer merchandise from donor vehicles to the building, offering tax receipts to every donor and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, both inside and outside, to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts, such as round-ups at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight, to support the organization's mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis and stand on feet for up to eight hours.
  • Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
