Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
  • Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment, and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medication, and treatment based on patient outcome
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Advanced Life Support preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred
Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
