We are seeking a proficient Mechanic to become a vital part of our dynamic repair facility. In this role, you will support our clientele by diagnosing and rectifying performance and functionality issues in vehicles. This position includes mobile business tools, a truck, and fuel provided. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days each week.
As an Auto Mechanic, you should possess a comprehensive understanding of all vehicle systems and components. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will excel in customer communication, clearly articulating vehicle concerns and offering valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles that arrive at the shop
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct thorough inspections of all vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
- Prepare repair estimates and timelines, conveying information to customers in an easily understandable manner
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for the repair shop
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory
- Completion of an automotive service technician training program or an associate degree is preferred
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) certification is advantageous
- Strong customer service and communication skills are essential
