Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating patient disabilities, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments. This is a per diem position located in Siler City, NC, and may involve floating between acute care and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Testing: Administer basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations to assess patient mobility disorders and related impairments.
- Education: Teach and supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents, and develop innovative programs to enhance patient care.
- Evaluation of Care: Analyze diagnostic and therapeutic testing results to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs, identifying expected patient outcomes and communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Implementation: Select and apply current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services, providing habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with mobility-related impairments.
- Outreach/Community Involvement: Serve as a resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals, presenting at local or state level, participating in community health screening and events, and developing new clinical programs to meet emerging needs.
- Participation: Contribute to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services.
- Quality: Contribute to quality of clinical services through maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress, participating in quality improvement initiatives with the clinical specialist and other healthcare professionals.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required. No prior experience is necessary, but knowledge and skills in physical therapy, patient care, and communication are essential.
Work EnvironmentThis per diem position is employed by UNC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. The position is exempt from overtime and is located in Siler City, NC.
