Job Title: Acute Registered Nurse

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in New York.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
    • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and protocols.
    • Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to interventions.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Patient Advocacy:
    • Advocate for patients' rights and ensure that ethical and legal standards of care are maintained.
    • Act as a liaison between patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing emotional support.
  • Education and Counseling:
    • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
    • Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Professional Development / Compliance:
    • Stay current with nursing practices, regulations, and technological advancements.
    • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
    • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures.
    • Maintain licensure and certifications required by the New York State Board of Nursing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required based on specialty and employer preferences.
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but may vary based on the specific role.
