Environmental Geologist

Plexus Scientific Corporation is seeking an Environmental Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental remediation services team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental investigations and providing technical expertise to support our federal contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental investigations and sampling activities under CERCLA and/or RCRA
• Oversee the installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells
• Collect and analyze soil, porewater, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapor samples
• Prepare data tables, figures, and text for reports and plans
• Organize field data for easy access by the technical team lead
• Provide input on the evaluation of data

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field with specific training in Geology
• 2+ years of field experience related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs
• Knowledge of field equipment used in support of field investigation of soil and groundwater contamination
• Ability to work independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader
• Ability to lift/carry equipment needed to perform field investigations
• Willingness to travel within the continental United States
• Ability to pass and maintain a detailed background check and be granted access to US federal facilities
• Desire to obtain registration as a Professional Geologist and have taken steps towards that goal
