Position Overview:

This role encompasses responsibilities as both a Unit Secretary and Nursing Assistant. The Unit Secretary manages office tasks, clerical duties, and acts as a receptionist within the nursing unit, facilitating order entry and administrative support. The Nursing Assistant delivers patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring adherence to nursing policies and organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Communication and Customer Service: Greet patients and visitors warmly, demonstrating professional communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Order Management: Assist healthcare professionals with accurate entry and processing of electronic orders, ensuring timely communication of new orders and alerts.
  • Chart Management: Maintain organized patient charts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate care tailored to the specific needs of patients, including assistance with daily activities and hygiene.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care and communicate relevant information to the nursing team.

Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Aide or equivalent preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Experience in an acute care setting or relevant clinical experience preferred
