Job Description
The Registered Nurse provides direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge. Key responsibilities include reviewing and documenting care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. The nurse must follow professional standards of care and apply evidence, professional standards, and best practices to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
An Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution is required. Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky is also necessary. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred upon hire and required within six months. Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred upon hire and required within 90 days. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is preferred upon hire and required within six months. Crisis Prevention is a requirement within six months. Recent experience in the specialty is preferred, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution is also desired.
