Position Overview


If you are a Quality Assurance Specialist eager to advance your career, we have an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will oversee material quality, including the initiation, facilitation, and resolution of corrective actions.

We seek a responsible and self-driven engineer who can leverage practical expertise in quality, lean methodologies, and problem-solving techniques to enhance quality, delivery, and service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that products adhere to both organizational and customer quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify root causes of production issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze data to detect trends in product quality or defects, aiming to mitigate and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance processes and supplier development through training and audits.
  • Conduct internal and external training sessions to improve quality, including methodologies such as Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR), 8D Problem-Solving, and FMEA.
  • Support product development and operations by providing analysis and expertise during the inspection process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the closure of supplier PPAP approvals, deviations, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Review design plans, processes, and quality manuals to comprehend the scope and requirements of quality issues.
  • Assist procurement teams in source selection and qualification of tools and components.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver formal presentations.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills for complex situations.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • High proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex data, along with report creation and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Commitment to obtaining ASQ certification.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for supplier and customer engagements.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a master's degree.
  • ASQ certification (CQA, CQE), RAB, PE, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with commodities such as steel, welding, castings, and motors.
  • Broad knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and ASME standards.
  • Expertise in regulatory requirements (US & International).
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in quality and/or lean operations, including formal training in quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for supplier and customer engagements.

Working Conditions:
This position is based in a typical office environment with frequent exposure to the manufacturing floor.
