Key Responsibilities- First Scrub Role: Demonstrates expertise as the primary scrub during surgical procedures.
- Aseptic Technique: Applies advanced knowledge of aseptic practices to maintain a sterile environment.
- Professional Conduct: Exhibits responsible behavior and professionalism in all interactions.
- Patient Needs: Recognizes and responds to variances in patient conditions effectively.
- Instrumentation Knowledge: Anticipates and prepares the necessary instruments for each surgical step.
- Efficiency: Enhances the surgical process by proactively addressing the surgeon's needs.
- Certification: Basic Life Support certification required upon start.
- Registration: Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration in Virginia at the time of hire, with completion required within six months.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.
