SCHEDULE: Standard hours with flexibility for early/late shifts and occasional weekend duties
POSITION SUMMARY: The Client Transport Specialist is tasked with adhering to the transportation schedule and ensuring the safe and timely conveyance of clients and/or staff to various appointments, classes, meetings, and job-related activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect clients from designated locations and transport them to their intended destinations without delay.
- Drive responsibly, observing all traffic regulations and speed limits while taking weather conditions into account.
- Follow specified routes or utilize an approved GPS system for navigation.
- Perform basic vehicle upkeep, including refueling and cleaning, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain open communication with clients and colleagues to improve service quality and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Uphold client and agency confidentiality at all times.
- Follow established protocols for the safe delivery of clients.
- Provide emotional support to clients during challenging situations.
- Address and resolve conflicts as they arise.
- Assist at designated locations as instructed.
- Complete incident reports as necessary.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- Ability to comprehend instructions and follow prescribed routes.
- Writing proficiency at a sixth-grade level.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license.
- Compliance with insurance provider's requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Familiarity with traffic regulations.
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation or following written directions.
- Accountability and effective time management.
- Conflict resolution abilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
Ability to enter and exit vehicles multiple times, operate vehicles, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Environmental Conditions:
Spending the majority of the day driving in varying traffic conditions, with travel required in all weather scenarios.
Mental Demands:
Managing daily deadlines and interactions with clients and staff.
WORK EXPECTATIONS:
- Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Collaboration with team members and clients.
- Travel for appointments or meetings at various locations.
