About the Role

The Pharmacist Consultant position is a remote opportunity that requires covering the Pennsylvania territory. Qualified candidates must reside within the specified area.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, making recommendations for therapy changes as needed.
  • Review drug regimens and clinical indicators of each resident at least monthly, reporting irregularities to the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and attending physicians.
  • Document all communication with healthcare team members and patients/residents, maintaining knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Work cooperatively as a member of a team, maintaining knowledge of pharmaceutical care practices for long-term care residents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate.
  • Current license required, dual license preferred.
  • One-year experience in acute, long-term care, or home health preferred.
  • Consultant or Clinical Pharmacist experience preferred.
  • IV clinical experience preferred.
