Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Preschool Cook to join our team at eLinks Education Corp. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our children, maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment, and ensuring compliance with Bright from the Start regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our children, following the Bright From the Start standards.
  • Prepare and serve meals using standardized recipes, ensuring correct portioning and presentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, ordering, and storage.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and café areas.
  • Collaborate with center staff to provide nutrition education and activities in the classroom.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma/GED and coursework/training in nutrition/food service.
  • Experience in quality and quantity food preparation and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, basic food preparation, and food sanitation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Serv/Safe Certification, Basic First Aid, and CPR.
