The Talent Acquisition & Innovation Center of Excellence
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team within the Talent Acquisition & Innovation Center of Excellence. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for screening and selecting candidates, handling the hiring process from application to offer, and executing talent acquisition strategies to build internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to build a strong candidate pipeline of highly qualified and diverse talent for vacant positions.
- Prioritize vacant positions and focus on building a candidate pipeline for critical position openings.
- Establish and foster productive working relationships with hiring managers, internal and external candidates, and other stakeholders to achieve assigned hiring goals.
- Use interpersonal savvy to foster productive working relationships with others in Talent Acquisition & Innovation to drive results.
- Deliver on candidate, hiring manager, and other stakeholders' requests with a sense of urgency to build a reputation of trust.
- Communicate with potential candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders in an authentic way, conveying messages clearly and concisely in a timely manner.
- Form genuine relationships and be trusted by candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Execute and maintain effective recruitment/retention programs and develop strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the RWJBH enterprise and its recruitment strategies, hiring needs, and business goals.
- Leverage modern recruitment practices, including technology and social media strategies, to produce results that meet the business hiring needs.
- Ensure a professional and enjoyable candidate experience throughout the selection, interview process, and offer extension.
- Provide assistance to current RWJBH employees regarding interdepartmental transfers and promotional opportunities.
- Maintain applicant tracking system and HR reporting as required.
- Assist with planning and execution of Talent Acquisition & Innovation special events (i.e. Recruitment Events, Open Houses, Orientation, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, human resources management, or relevant field of study required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Prior talent acquisition, sourcing, or recruitment experience required; 3-5 years required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Planning, communication, and organizational skills are required, including the ability to work independently, have high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meeting established deadlines.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Proven negotiation skills that demonstrate the ability to close offers to candidates.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, CRM, HRIS, and/or customer tracking databases to manage data and candidate relationships. Applicant tracking systems (ATS) experience strongly preferred.
