Yard Crewmember/Forklift Operator

The Yard Crewmember will assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the yard, respond to their questions, and provide assistance with product selection.
- Inventory Management: Load and unload products into customers, vendors, and company vehicles safely and accurately, and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lumberyard and warehouses.
- Operational Support: Perform routine safety checks on forklifts, operate a forklift, and cut lumber and other related materials as requested by the customer.
- Team Collaboration: Attend all store meetings and training sessions, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and forklift operator certification is required.
- Physical Abilities: Prolonged periods of standing and moving around the yard and warehouse, lifting up to 80 pounds at times, and pushing and/or pulling 50 pound loads at a time.
- Work Environment: May need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, and work in various types of weather.
