Job Summary

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth seeks a qualified Advanced Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and spiritual growth in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective instructional strategies and assessments.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and Catholic education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure.
  • Experience working with middle school students and developing lesson plans for diverse learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a standard classroom and school environment.
  • Manage high to moderate levels of stress.
  • Required to teach a part-time schedule.
  • Required to work some nights and weekends.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Meets the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCED.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Knowledge of subjects taught, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation in target languages.
  • Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior.
  • Able to manage student behavior in classroom setting.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form in both targeted language(s).
  • Able to work well with others in the school community.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in pacing and differentiating instruction.
  • Skill in motivating and engaging students in the learning process.
  • Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format.
  • Skill in job appropriate technology.
  • Skill in critical thinking and planning.
