Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our Labor and Delivery team at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families during their most vulnerable moments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • Current BCLS and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend.
  • Ability to float within Women's Services.
Unit Information
  • The Labor and Delivery unit at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is a 21-bed unit that provides care to patients with a variety of obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
  • The unit uses the PYXIS and EPIC systems for documentation and medication administration.
  • The team is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
