Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Chef in creating a variety of pastries, baked items, and desserts for the Food & Beverage department, catering to residents, daily specials, and special occasions.
- Prepare all food items according to established recipes and specific dietary requirements.
- Efficiently organize pastry production while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation at all times.
- Follow personal hygiene and dress code standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment operation and maintenance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pastry cook in a hotel, restaurant, country club, or similar environment, with a focus on crafting pastries, desserts, and breads from scratch.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and upkeep.
- Understanding of measurements, conversions, nutrition, and dietary needs.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
