Security Officer

Boulder Community Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our patients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Maintain a visible presence throughout the hospital, making regular security rounds and responding to incidents as needed.
- Assist visitors and staff, as well as ambulance, police, fire, and helicopter personnel, as required.
- Intervene with difficult or disruptive patients and/or visitors using the lowest level of intervention possible.
- Problem-solve situations and act in a well-thought-out manner.
- Review and pass on information with oncoming shifts, any posted notices, and the previous shifts' logs before the beginning of each shift.
- Report any problems or needed maintenance to Engineering.
- High school graduate desired.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good driving record.
- BLS by end of conditional period.
- Certify in Threat Pattern Recognition (TPR) within 1 month of hire and recertify annually thereafter.
- IAHSS certification may be required for other advanced versions of this job.
- Certify in Taser training and use within six months of hire and re-certify annually thereafter.
