Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Cardiac Care Unit at University Hospitals is a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering exceptional care in the field of cardiac and interventional procedures. Our environment is dynamic and fast-paced, offering a variety of challenges that allow for both personal and professional growth. We prioritize continuous education and hands-on training, ensuring that our nursing staff is well-prepared and confident in their roles.

Work Schedule

We offer flexible scheduling options, including 5-8 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts, with no weekend or holiday obligations except for on-call duties. Accommodations for on-call lodging are available upon request.

Incentives

Eligible Registered Nurses with a minimum of one year of experience may inquire about our $10,000 sign-on bonus.

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care tailored to the needs of patients and their families.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the protection of patient health information (PHI).
Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or Diploma in Nursing) is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient understanding of nursing processes and practices.
  • Ability to operate various technical equipment to meet patient care needs.

Licensure and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Multi-State Compact License is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required based on clinical area standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
  • Constant communication and coordination skills are essential.

  • Minimal travel (approximately 10%).
