Pharmaceutical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, making recommendations for therapy changes as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient/resident databases, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication information.
- Ensure timely ordering, evaluation, and discussion of laboratory tests for high-risk conditions with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
- Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in the medical record.
- Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals.
- Assist facility staff with procedures related to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering, and disposing of drugs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred.
- One year experience in long-term care.
