Job Summary:

Christiana Care is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a cardiac sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. You will also assist with the clinical training of students and Cardiology Fellows associated with the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures
Document patient's clinical history and technologist impressions of the images obtained on exam request forms
Assist the cardiologist with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography
Assist in the instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows during their practice performance at Christiana Care
Rotate on on-call schedule covering off hours and weekend rotation

Requirements:

Must be a graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or other allied health profession or possess equivalent training
Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within first year of employment or within first year of eligibility
Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS)
CPR certification
