Job Summary:

Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team in Rochester, MN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, and programming fire alarms, fire life safety communicators, and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and inspect fire alarms, fire life safety communicators, and associated systems
  • Verify alarm system functionality by testing equipment, connections, and signals
  • Maintain accurate records by documenting inspections and observations
  • Communicate problems encountered or identified with the alarm system to customers
  • Perform related tasks as required, including responding to service requests and diagnosing system malfunctions

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Self-motivated and present a professional image
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete documentation as necessary in a timely manner
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • MN PLT Preferred
  • Working knowledge of alarm control panels, devices, and critical components, including programming
  • Physically capable to work on aerial lifts and ladders; work in heavy industrial applications and confined spaces
