Lead Teacher Opportunity

The Goddard School of North Huntingdon, PA is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum, leading daily activities, and collaborating with a supportive team to create a nurturing environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods, and observe and assess children's development.
  • Classroom Management: Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, manage daily routines and transitions, and address behavioral issues with positive guidance.
  • Family Communication: Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and encourage family involvement.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and supervise children during activities.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, stay current with best practices in early childhood education, and collaborate with other teachers.
