Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At Katherine Luther Residential, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, security, and rehabilitation.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide resident care to assigned residents as outlined in their individualized care plans. This includes providing good personal hygiene, assisting with activities of daily living, and promoting independence. The CNA will also accurately document care given to residents and inform the charge/unit manager of any updates to resident care cards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as eating, grooming, and mobility.
  • Encourage independence and promote self-help measures and activities.
  • Accurately document care given to residents and update resident care cards as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to resident communication systems and transport residents to various departments or outside appointments.
  • Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care of residents and foster teamwork with peers.
  • Comply with departmental policies and procedures, as well as DOH/Federal regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program.
  • Previous Geriatric CNA experience preferred.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification required.
  • Able to maintain confidential information and speak/write English in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, angry people within the facility.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Must be in good health and able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.
HIPAA Compliance:

Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to LCCN policies and HIPAA regulations governing the confidentiality and security of protected health information for both manual and electronic resident records, charts, information, and other confidential information.
