Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate activities for the design and construction of complex and highly visible projects under the guidance of a senior Project Officer.
- Ensure quality and compliance standards in both design and construction by all consultants and vendors.
- Make timely decisions and take actions to expedite project completion.
- Address mistakes in design and construction early in the process.
- Manage phasing and scheduling, ensuring preparation of schedules for planning, design, and construction.
- Monitor project schedules and take necessary actions to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction managers, and school personnel to mitigate project concerns.
- Participate in developing and implementing project procedures and policies.
- Provide guidance to construction staff.
- Resolve issues identified in field reports from architects and construction management.
- Work with architects/engineers on change orders and technical matters to ensure compliance and quality.
- Issue directives to contractors to enforce contract terms.
- Advise senior management on the necessity of assessing liquidated damages and other contractual enforcement mechanisms.
- Use independent judgment for on-site change order decisions and negotiations with contractors.
- Review contractor claims and advise senior management on appropriate actions.
- Compile necessary documentation for adjudicating claims.
- Visit various job sites as required.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and design-related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience managing construction projects valued at $5 million or more.
- Valid driver's license.


Salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
