Job Title: Lead Technologist

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technologist to join our team in the MRI department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the department, managing the Quality Control Program, and functioning as a MRI Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the MRI department
  • Manage the Quality Control Program for the department
  • Function as a MRI Technician and complete all job requirements for the staff-level position
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development over the life span
  • Function as primary teaching technologist to students
  • Help the supervisor in developing new protocols and procedures
  • Provide input to the supervisor for the evaluations of the technologists
  • Follow the rules and regulations of the Department of Environmental Protection (State) strictly
  • Help the technologists in difficult and/or complex procedures
  • Initiate service calls and documents
  • Maintain and operate all workstations
  • Maintain harmony among staff technologists
  • Maintain the department in a clean and neat condition
  • Order required supplies and maintains par levels in CT suites
  • Perform the duties of staff technologist as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have ARRT MRI Certification
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years hospital experience as a lead/chief technologist preferred
  • Siemens and GE experience preferred
