The chosen candidate will join the National Accounts division, focusing on the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical lighting components, including ballasts and drivers for existing fixtures. The role primarily involves working from aerial lifts, ensuring a direct and professional interface with clients. Daily dispatch to customer locations will be required, where you will address and resolve lighting issues with the utmost professionalism and safety. Documentation will be completed electronically, necessitating familiarity with current smartphone and tablet technologies. A strong moral character is essential, as you will represent a leading service provider in the industry. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, along with a commitment to customer satisfaction, quality, and safety, is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic lighting components.
  • Install and mount lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
  • Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks safely.
  • Test lighting systems and circuit continuity using appropriate testing devices.
  • Inspect installation sites and review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material needs and installation procedures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning lighting systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to identify and rectify issues.
  • Interpret contract drawings effectively.
  • Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test is mandatory.
  • A commitment to excellence and the ability to produce high-quality work is essential.
  • Punctuality and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals while maintaining a safe work environment are crucial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Lift/Aerial Training).

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at once and 60 pounds for extended periods.
  • Capability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Comfort working at heights up to 60 feet and climbing various types of ladders and scaffolds.
  • Regularly engage in walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Possess good vision (correctable) and the ability to see in color, along with effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to use a standard ladder without exceeding weight limits while carrying tools.
  • Recognize potential issues and apply general rules to specific problems to derive sensible solutions.
  • Analyze information to form general conclusions, including identifying relationships among seemingly unrelated events.
  • Maintain attention to detail at close range.
  • Understand and process spoken information effectively.

Candidates may be required to provide proof of vaccinations, including flu shots, depending on customer requirements and the nature of the position, or demonstrate a valid basis for exemption.
