Law Enforcement Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Dispatcher to join our team at the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our law enforcement officers and ensuring the safety of our community.

• Answer multiple phone lines professionally, including 911 calls
• Transfer calls to the necessary department or individual
• Handle radio traffic and log information in computer-aided dispatch (CAD)
• Monitor GPS vehicle tracking system and deputies working off-duty details
• Input and receive information from NCIC
• Report all unusual occurrences, accidents, or safety hazards to supervisors

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Two years of experience in law enforcement dispatching
• Louisiana POST Certification

• Minimum hourly rate of pay: $13.61/hr
• Postsecondary education and law enforcement or dispatch experience will be taken into consideration in respect to the hourly rate of pay
• Eligible for paid overtime

• Vacation and sick time after one year of continuous employment
• Eligible for additional leave when scheduled on an office holiday
