Extrusion Operator

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a dedicated and motivated Extrusion Operator to join our team in Red Oak. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality products while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

As an Extrusion Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our extrusion equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass following established procedures for operating extruders, utilizing relevant software applications, and meticulously inspecting product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to standardized procedures for operating extruders.
• Proficiently utilize all applicable software programs associated with the extrusion process.
• Demonstrate accurate measurement skills using calipers to ensure product specifications are met.
• Identify and address known defects in the production process, striving for continuous improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of both conforming and non-conforming products.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork daily, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Contribute to the training of new employees, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Promptly report any issues or unusual conditions observed during operation to your supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for hand, foot, and eye protection.

Qualifications:

• On-the-job training will be provided, typically lasting one to eight weeks, with the possibility of extension up to ten weeks as needed.
• Strong visual acuity for near vision and accommodation is essential for reading information and performing job tasks.
• Excellent hearing acuity is required to monitor machine sounds effectively and identify potential issues.
