Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, assessing their requirements, making recommendations, and successfully closing sales within your department, while also being knowledgeable about adjacent departments.

You will be tasked with maintaining the stocked condition of designated areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and safe for shopping.

It is essential for each associate to contribute to a secure working and shopping environment by adhering to all safety protocols, completing required safety training, promptly addressing hazards, and reporting unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty, while working safely to protect yourself, colleagues, vendors, and customers.

This position requires collaboration with your Department Supervisor and fellow associates within your department, as well as with other departments.

Specific departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.

Benefits

1 Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; full-time hourly associates will qualify for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; part-time associates will be eligible for 20 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; temporary associates do not qualify for vacation benefits.


2 Sick time (Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma)

Salary and temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; full-time associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; part-time associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 2 hours per month, whichever is greater.

Sick time (Seattle)

Salary and temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; full-time associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; part-time associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 2 hours per month, whichever is greater.
