Key Responsibilities:

  • Take patient menu selections prior to each meal and deliver trays in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Comply with dietary restrictions and special requests to ensure optimal food preferences are met.
  • Offer alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets.
  • Assemble trays according to patient menu selections and maintain accurate and current information for each patient.
  • Interact with nursing staff to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and food needs are met.
  • Retrieve trays from patients' rooms and maintain a clean, sanitary working environment.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines and complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
