Senior Construction Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Inspector to join our team at EFK Moen, LLC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions.
- Verify that contractors provide quality improvements in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate and efficient measurements and construction staking as a member of the survey crew.
- Keep accurate and legible records of inspection field measurements and documentation of the contract.
- Perform material inspection and testing.
- Keep the field Engineer informed on the status of problems with the contractor's work.
- Maintain records as directed by the field Engineer.
- Perform duties in compliance with the company's safety rules.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree with relevant coursework required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in roadway construction, reading design plans, and specifications.
- Attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Working knowledge of surveying and construction layout preferred.
- Working knowledge of material testing and testing equipment preferred.
- Proficient in contract administration software, MoDOT AASHTOWARE, IDOT CMMS/ICORS is a plus.
- OSHA 10 and ACI certifications are a plus.
- Working knowledge of CADD (Microstation of AutoCad).
- Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards.
- MoDOT, IDOT, or local public agency project experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and coworkers.
- Valid driver's license required.
