Academic Support Specialist

MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of K-12 SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER.

• This is a teaching position in our Special Education department, responsible for supporting students with diverse needs.
• The successful candidate will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, develop student progress monitoring systems, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive support for all students.

As a K-12 Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
2. Providing instruction and accommodations to ensure students access the curriculum.
3. Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and other support staff to provide cohesive support services.
4. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and participation.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A valid Special Education certificate.
• Current Act 114, 34, and 151 clearances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
