Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist/CT Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT) scans, to help diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including CT scanners, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Review images to determine if additional views are necessary to complete the exam.
  • Adjust technical factors to optimize image quality and ensure patient safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot artifacts on images to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school or program of radiologic technology.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or eligibility to sit for the exam.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in multiple programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Working Conditions

This position may involve exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases. The ability to lift and move patients, as well as work under stressful conditions, is required. Travel between work assignments and willingness to work overtime may be necessary.
