Position Summary
The Senior Software Engineer is tasked with the development, testing, and troubleshooting of software applications. You will collaborate with our team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and contribute throughout various phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Annual Salary Range: $84,300 to $125,000 based on experience.
- Design and maintain software applications across Linux and Windows environments.
- Conduct testing and debugging of software to guarantee optimal functionality and dependability.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira and Jama for tracking and oversight.
- Document development workflows and project updates in Confluence.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver superior software solutions.
- Participate in code evaluations to uphold code quality and best practices.

Qualifications- Completion of a full course of study in an accredited institution with a Technical or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline. 11 to 16 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in simulation system software development and/or testing is preferred.
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Experience with the Qt framework for cross-platform application development.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows applications and hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Prior experience on Department of Defense (DoD) programs is advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in test documentation (Requirements Traceability Matrix, Acceptance Test Plan, Use Case, etc.) is essential.
- System design documentation experience is preferred.
- Understanding of software testing and debugging methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence is required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team interactions.
- Attention to detail in documentation and work performance.
- Strong computer skills, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems critically.

The employee must occasionally lift or move office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds.
