Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Equipment Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for transferring equipment from one room to another, performing a full range of work involving lifting, carrying, and packaging laboratory equipment and pilot scale manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer laboratory equipment and pilot scale processing equipment to different rooms or other TEVA sites as instructed by supervisor/manager.
  • Assist in organizing lab supplies and laboratory equipment.
  • Assemble shipping boxes and prepare crates and pallets.
  • Package laboratory and small-scale processing equipment.
  • Assist in shipping equipment, pallet/crate, and operate pallet jack and other tools for moving boxes, pallets, and crates.
  • May load shipping trucks to ship packages, crates, and pallets.
  • May receive packages and mail and deliver to offices and laboratories.
  • May receive laboratory supplies and chemicals and maintain inventory control.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of packaging, shipping, and receiving laboratory equipment and small-scale manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of packaging, shipping, and loading trucks.
  • Operating pallet jacks.
  • Basic computer programs and applications.
  • Reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Communicating effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Understanding and following instructions as instructed by supervisor/manager.
  • Working independently with little or no supervision.
Working Conditions

Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of standing, walking, lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds, vision to monitor, and moderate to loud noise levels. Incumbents may be exposed to or work with toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, dangerous tools, and equipment. Work is performed in laboratory and shipping and receiving environments.
