About the Role

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Review and complete necessary paperwork for each patient, including exam, scheduling, and medical records.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER, providing a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and obtaining cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
  • Work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet the needs of our patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH)/TMB license.
  • Current registration with ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Advanced certification in MRI required within 6 months of employment.
  • 1 year experience in MRI preferred.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
