Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

The Reliability Engineer will play a key role in improving the reliability of plant equipment and systems through preventive and reliability maintenance strategies. This position will work closely with maintenance management to develop and implement site reliability programs, manage vibration data collection and analysis, and provide operational recommendations to maintenance and production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop and implement site reliability programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Manage vibration data collection and analysis to identify potential equipment failures and provide recommendations for maintenance and repair.
  • Collaborate with maintenance management to develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Work with maintenance personnel to develop and implement standardized monitoring programs to include ultrasound, infrared, and non-destructive inspections.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop procedures to eliminate problems with the process, project, and maintenance activity.
  • Observe and comply with all company safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Develop and implement tools and techniques to analyze and improve preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance management and vendors to improve the skills and practices of maintenance personnel and inspection routines.
  • Support and develop ongoing standards for CMMS.
  • Share in Department On-Call Responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering required (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience in reliability engineering.
  • 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred in a High-Speed Manufacturing Environment.
  • 5 years of experience in vibration data collection and analysis (Cat I or greater) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as MP2, SAP, or EAM preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Established maintenance/technical background.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to direct others and work in a team environment.
  • Good overall mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and reference maintenance documentation (blueprints, shop drawings, manuals, etc.).
  • Solid working knowledge of personal computers and common office software.
