About the Role

Mott MacDonald is a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy seeking a highly skilled Dams and Levees Engineer to join our team in the West USA region. As a key member of our dams and levees practice, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our water and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support preliminary and detailed engineering design and associated documents on a variety of dam-related projects.
  • Perform geotechnical investigations, including test borings, instrumentation systems, and evaluation of monitoring and testing data.
  • Conduct data analysis, organization, and interpretation in support of dam/levee design, and inspection, evaluation, and rehabilitation projects.
  • Develop planning and design documents, cost estimates, calculations, project drawings, and technical specifications in coordination with project managers, project engineers, CAD staff, and other engineering disciplines.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering is required. Master's Degree or PhD is a plus.
  • Engineer-in-Training required. Professional Engineer licensed in CA is preferred.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in geotechnical, hydrology, or civil engineering related to the tasks described above.
Desired Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk products.
  • Experience with GIS, geotechnical analysis software such as GeoStudio (SEEP/W and SLOPE/W) or Leepfrog Geo, hydraulic analysis software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or Flow 3D or structural analysis packages such as LS-DYNA would be a plus.
