Job Summary:
Vascular Technologist needed to perform diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic technology and be able to evaluate patients for the presence of peripheral vascular disease.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
- Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and reports results.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
- Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
Requirements:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
