Pediatric Hospitalist

The Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients admitted to our hospitals. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care.

• Provide medical care to pediatric patients admitted to the hospital, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
• Develop and manage patient care plans, making recommendations for treatment and adjusting plans as needed.
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient care and treatment plans.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Stay current with the latest medical treatments and procedures, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Certification: None required
• Licensure: Physician upon start; current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Experience: Physician residency; successful completion of physician residency program
• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
