Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contracts and Grants Assistant to join our team at Dallas County. In this role, you will provide administrative support for project management activities, including contract preparation, monitoring, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with lower-level project management support activities, including preparation, update, and maintenance of contracts and grants.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as processing invoices, monitoring funds, and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate programmatic activities, meetings, and schedules, and serve as technical support to departments, officials, and contractors.
- Develop and maintain records, files, and database tracking systems to ensure accurate tracking of revenues and expenditures.
- Prepare forms, reports, and related correspondence to support project management activities.
Requirements
- Education and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree and five (5) years of work-related experience or 75 hours of college credit or a combination of the two.
- Knowledge of standard computer applications and standard word processing software.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, organize and process work, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees and the general public.
Working Conditions
This is a standard office environment with a high-volume, high-stress workload. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment and maintain a good driving record.
