Seeking a skilled On Call Cook to lead our Long Point Camp kitchen team

Scope and Purpose of Position:

As a key member of our culinary team, you will oversee food ordering, storage, preparation, serving, and cleaning. You will also supervise kitchen staff to ensure a quality, cost-efficient food service program at Long Point Camp.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Food and Materials Management:

• Prepare meals according to the menu and requested plan.

• Maintain a consistent record of food production in keeping with USDA standards.

• Order all food and supplies for the camp kitchen.

• Monitor the stock to ensure an adequate supply of food, cleaning supplies, and paper goods.

• Supervise the proper rotation of inventory.

• Manage and assist with all food preparation, presentation, and clean-up of all meals served.

• Manage all paperwork as required for the Kitchen

Staff Training and Supervision:

• Work closely with the Dining Room Supervisor/LPC Guest Services to ensure smooth meal service.

• Schedule Kitchen Staff to ensure timely meal service.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain personal appearance and adhere to all personal policies and practices as presented in the Long Point Camp Staff Manual.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must have two years of service in the food service field

• Must have administrative experience and be able to teach and supervise others
