Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to join our team at BrightStar Care of Hartford. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, providing personalized care and support to help them maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to clients, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and assisting with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Assist clients with transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping, as needed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, and assist with height and weight measurements, if necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current, valid state certification in good standing.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of clients.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect, and present a positive public image.
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of clients' medical information.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, with varied assistance depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
