We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in cloud computing. As a member of our Case Management team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a centralized platform for managing data governance concerns, leveraging emerging technologies like Java, Go, and AWS.

">Key Responsibilities:\

  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.\
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.\
  • Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.\
  • Mentor other members of the engineering community, sharing your passion for staying on top of tech trends and experimenting with new technologies.\
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve software development life cycle (SDLC) efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.\
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning within the team.\
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful deployment and support.\
  • Foster a customer-centric approach, prioritizing user needs and delivering solutions that meet regulatory requirements.\
  • Analyze project metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.\
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.\
  • Contribute to the development of technical skills within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.\
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.\
  • Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders.\
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal partners, including product management, marketing, and sales teams.\
  • Serve as a technical expert and advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on technology trends, architecture, and implementation strategies.\
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.\
  • Maintain a secure and efficient environment by implementing security controls, monitoring systems, and adhering to compliance standards.\
  • Develop and maintain documentation, diagrams, and presentations to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\

  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance to junior engineers.\

  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with technology projects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.\
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to data security, privacy, and access control.\
  • Support compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.\
  • Provide input to the annual budget process, recommending resource allocations and capital expenditures.\
  • Represent the team at departmental meetings, sharing progress, challenges, and lessons learned.\
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams, promoting a culture of transparency and cooperation.\
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, documenting successes, failures, and lessons learned.\
