Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized intern to join our team at Argonne National Laboratories in Lemont, IL. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of pilot-scale testing of separation technology, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

The intern will conduct research related to separations materials and technologies for clean energy technologies, focusing on pilot-scale testing of adsorption and/or membrane-based separations processes. Primary responsibilities may include separations experiments, laboratory equipment operation, and analytical analysis.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials engineering, or related disciplines
  • Basic wet chemistry methods
  • Experience with analytical chemistry instrumentation (chromatographic and/or spectroscopic analysis)
  • Knowledge of physical and chemical processes, specifically separations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
