Responsibilities- Identify patient needs and provide routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting.
- Assist patients in achieving basic health care goals and provide education and instruction as needed.
- Document observations, actions, and patient outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide safe, accurate, and clinically competent direct care to patients and families.
- Recognize patient abnormalities or urgent problems and seek appropriate assistance.
- Obtain health history information and vital signs, and report variances as needed.
- Teach techniques or provide information according to established program.
- Accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatment in each patient's record.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide support to professional and technical staff.
- Solve problems appropriately and seek assistance when needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN) or medical assistant program (MA) or EMT program.
- Current licensure in Minnesota (LPN) or certification (MA) or EMT license.
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
- One year of working experience as an LPN is preferred.
