Job Summary

This position is responsible for the daily coordination and deployment of staffing resources to departments across CoxHealth, facilitation of patient throughput, and implementation of operational plan surrounding scope of care or service in relation to the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deploy staffing resources to ensure efficient patient care and operational excellence.
  • Facilitate patient throughput and implement operational plans to meet organizational goals.
  • Provide oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across nursing services.
  • Address facility issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience
    • Preferred: At least one year in area of specialization and management experience in the inpatient setting (i.e. charge nurse, assistant nurse manager) AND three (3) years of clinical experience.
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities.
    • Exhibits valuable time management skills.
    • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Ability to efficiently use the electronic medical record and staff scheduling program.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri.
    • Required: BLS and ACLS must be obtained within 90 days.
    • Required: Must obtain PALS within one year of hire.
